Hi, I’m Gilbert! I’m a student at SMA Taruna Nala in Malang, Indonesia, a school that instills discipline and resilience. It’s a place that aligns perfectly with my long-term dream of joining the Indonesian Army.
I’ve always seen myself as an active and sporty person. I grew up playing football in a football training school and continued with Taekwondo, where I competed and earned several achievements. But along the way, I discovered another side of myself, my love for the arts.
Art is truly half of my life. I enjoy music, once played in a school band, and eventually found a deep passion for filmmaking. It all began during the pandemic, when I explored computers, learned video editing, and developed my own blog. From that journey, I not only reached thousands of YouTube subscribers but also started earning income from my blog back in middle school.
In high school, that interest grew into something much more serious. I began joining film competitions and took on multiple roles such as director, scriptwriter, cinematographer, and editor. One of my proudest achievements was winning 2nd place in the 2025 FLS2N Short Film Competition, the biggest national art festival for students in Indonesia.
Through this blog, I share my creative journey as a student, filmmaker, and visual creative. I hope my work inspires others and becomes the first step toward even bigger dreams.
